Integration of Ecological Spirituality and Youth Participation in Reforestation Program: Laudato Si’ Movement Timor Leste

Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the integration of ecological spirituality and youth participation in the reforestation program of the Laudato Si' Movement Timor-Leste. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, involving in-depth interviews with 23 informants, field observations, and documentation. The analytical method used is the Miles and Huberman model. The stages of data analysis include data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results show that member participation includes decision-making through active discussion, contributions of skills such as leadership and teamwork, material support and external collaboration. While activities are carried out voluntarily through the power of collaboration, though not optimally due to limitations in knowledge, time, and commitment. Ecologically, the reforestation program has a positive impact on land restoration, although it is classified as marginal (S3). Socially, the program increases environmental awareness, and youth capacity. The integration of the ecological spirituality dimension in Laudato Si' in the reforestation program emphasizes that not merely a technical activity, but also a manifestation of moral, ethical, and spiritual values ??in caring for “Our Common Home”. This integration is reflected in memberS changing behavior, which is now more caring, collaborative, and committed to sustainability driven by a deep spiritual awareness.
