Sumber Daya Kearifan Lokal untuk Konservasi Lingkungan Hidup

Abstrak

Makalah ini bertujuan untuk menjembatani ekologi tradisional dengan pengetahuan konservasi kontemporer, bahwa klaim eksklusif terhadap kebenaran dalam sistem pengetahuan lokal tidak dapat sepenuhnya digunakan untuk membenarkan upaya pelestarian ekosistem. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya bentuk afiliasi bersama pengetahuan ilmiah untuk menjamin keberhasilan dalam upaya tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sains dan pengetahuan lokal saling melengkapi. Bersama-sama, dua pengetahuan ini mencari landasan ilmu baik secara konservasi lintas budaya, agama, dan disiplin ilmu lainnya. Integrasi ini memungkinkan terjadinya solusi holistik yang berkelanjutan, dalam membangun fondasi kokoh untuk upaya melestarikan keanekaragaman hayati bagi generasi mendatang. Sehingga integrasi pengetahuan ekologi tradisional dan konservasi kontemporer akan membawa harapan baru dalam menjaga keberlanjutan ekosistem.
